April Lockhart
April Lockhart, born in 1995 on the 4th July, began taking piano and guitar lessons at age seven. Her passion for writing songs was ignited. The song that she first wrote for April was Different. She wrote it aged 12. At the age of 14 April, she spent a lot of time writing and honing her singing ability. After that, she started taking excursions to write with her father, who lived in NY in New York and LA. April began also to incorporate other related topics for some members of her circle who deal with things like problems with peer pressure, and teenager suicide, as in the song"Take" my Hand. Lockhart is a beauty and lifestyle influencer that has an ever-growing following. She works with popular brand Ilia together, in addition to being an expert in the field of lifestyle. Lockhart was born without a left hand. It's one aspect of who she is, but this isn't the whole truth. Lockhart's profile on Instagram doesn't reveal her disability, but does not just focus on the condition. The message? That we all contain multitudes of identities and that we're much greater than the physical person we are. We don't want to allow that to be the only thing that defines me. I don't want to be a disability influencer in the sense that I only talk about, because there are many other aspects to me Lockhart says via video from her home in Nashville. And it doesn't affect my normal life. I just do everything normally and I've found my own method of adjusting circumstances. Because it's also a component of me I think it's worthy of discussion. Self-acceptance can be a marathon for a lifetime but Lockhart is a true inspiration regarding this issue. Still she admits she's gone through phases with her body, at times feeling insecure to wear certain types of clothing showing off the arms of her. She dresses according to her preferences and proudly posts pictures of her in the outfits she selects to share on social networks. The journey itself is the key thing I don't know that you ever arrive with self-love, she claims. But I think that's with all people, regardless of what their fear may be. It's essential to have those within your circle who understand and are able to understand. They'll be able to remind you that you're anxious about.
