Aspen Ladd's combat sport journey began at 14 years old. She studied kickboxing, boxing and wrestling prior to making her first appearance in amateur competition at WCFC with Jaimee Nievera. Ladd gained confidence after the win and fought 3 bouts in Ultimate Reno Combat. Her opponents all fell during the first round. Ladd went back to WCFC in order to defeat Leslie Rodriguez through a unanimous ruling. Ladd took her fight with Roma Pawelek to improve to a record of 8-1. Aspen became a professional in the year 2015 when she signed with Invicta FC to make her professional debut. Invicta 11, she was able to slay Ana Carolina Vidal to score TKO victory in the opening round. Invicta Fc 16 marked her first bout as a bantamweight. She defeated Amanda Cooper with an armbar in second round. Aspen used the superior techniques she learned from wrestling to take on McGill.
